San Juan House
Anacortes, Washington

A mid-century modern inspired house with dramatic views of Puget Sound to the north. The project is located on a challenging site with a steep slope. A series of rockeries and concrete retaining walls were required in order to locate the house at the top of the slope to maximize views and provide easy street access. The house retains a low slung ranch appearance from the street while providing a series of outdoor living terraces along the back of the house.
