Soucy House
Diamond Point, Washington

A Scandinavian influenced modern house located on a sloped site overlooking Discovery Bay on the Olympic Peninsula. This house plan has two angled wings, a living wing and a bedroom wing. The angled plan preserves existing large shore pines while orienting to views of Mount Baker and the bay below. The bedroom wing parallels the access lane and anchors the house into the top of the hill, while the living wing hovers above the hillside on columns to give the occupant the sensation of being in a treehouse amongst the pines.
