San Diego Ranch Framing

Framing is well underway on the San Diego house project. We spent a lot of time thinking about the ceiling details in the main living space. We knew we wanted to expose all of the wood framing. The framing is all rough sawn lumber and the layering of the different structural roof elements gives a nice "basket weave" appearance. The hefty masonry wall at the end of the space supports the roof structure and also accommodates a fireplace.
